It's brought to you by our brother and sister review team. N and B amaze me because they have adventurous palates but still bring a kid's perspective. You may have noticed that they write so well that they could take over for food reviewers in any newspaper in any city right now.

The description on the package reads, "...made on an Italian crust based on cauliflower, which tastes suspiciously like a true Italian pizza crust. The uncured pepperoni is accompanied by a bit of bell pepper, olive and red onion, all of which is atop an herbed tomato base and part-skim mozzarella cheese."

Trader Joe's Gluten Free Uncured Pepperoni Pizza Review

She says (sister B, age 8): Compared to other gluten free pizzas I've tried, this one does not stand out as a delightful lunch or dinner. There was not enough pizza to feed three people, let alone lots. The cauliflower crust was too thick and doughy and had a strong cauliflower taste, unlike other cauliflower-crust pizzas. Even the cheese was hard to taste!
Overall rating: 2.5 out of 5 stars

He says (brother N, age 12): While this plate of pepperoni pizza may have been advertised as a tasty treat, the dish was mediocre at best. The pizza had a cauliflower crust, a common replacement for traditional gluten dough. I have tried lots of different gluten free pizzas, many of which I cannot even taste the cauliflower inside. Because of this, I was surprised that the pizza had an obvious cauliflower taste, and for someone who does not naturally like cauliflower, this was not a pleasant experience. Most of the toppings (especially the pepperoni) were good, but I could not taste the cheese that was supposed to be a highlight of the meal. Cheese is an essential ingredient in any pizza, so this was another flaw in the recipe. On the back of the box, the instructions say to cook the pizza in the oven for fifteen minutes, but it took much longer to cook than it was supposed to. Finally, the serving size is ⅓ of the pizza, which for me, is not enough pizza for a normal lunch. I ate half of the dish, and I was still hungry! If you want a good gluten free pizza, there are much better choices than this one.
Overall rating: 2.5 out of 5 stars

Will they buy this again?
(B): Even though this pizza is gluten free and cheap, I would not recommend buying it again.
(N): There were so many flaws to this meal that I am never going to consider buying it again. It is inexpensive for a pizza, but it is not very filling or tasty. Even for someone who needs a cheap, easy to make, gluten free pizza, there are much better options that can be found.

I love this pizza. I put it right on rack in oven at 425. I drizzle some infused oil over it after cooked. It’s so crispy and airy! It’s really like it came out of a wood fire brick oven! I hope TJs keeps this excellent pizza!!
