Tell me if this sounds familiar. Every year or two, you think..." You know, I haven't had a rice cake in ages. I've probably forgotten how much I like them." 

This is me. And normally, it doesn't end well. But, BUT...Trader Joe's carries these Organic Chocolate Half-Coated Rice Cake Thins, and I had to give them a try. And, as anti-rice cake as Mark is, he was forced to try them as well. 

We have reviewed the non-chocolate-coated version of Trader Joe's Rice Cake Thins, but let's see how the chocolate version ranks.

The suggested serving size is two rice cakes. Per serving, that comes to 120 calories with 6 grams of fat, 2 grams of fiber, and 2 grams of protein. 

One serving (two pieces) of Trader Joe's Organic Dark Chocolate Half-Coated Rice Cake Thins are 5 Weight Watchers points. 

A package of 8 rice cake thins costs $1.99. These contain two organic ingredients: dark chocolate and puffed brown rice.

She says (Bridget): It's a rice cake. Really, how good can it be? Sometimes, I forget what they taste like. I DO, however, appreciate the chocolate coating and the slim profile of the rice cake. Both the thin cake and the chocolate made the rice cake much more palatable. It's a good ratio.

He says (Mark): Rice cakes…hmmm. Dark chocolate…yes. Trader Joe's…yes. Two out of three isn't bad, and neither are the rice cakes. I do like the thickness of these. The chocolate coating is just enough to get your attention, and it doesn't flake off and cause a mess. Well done.
