We stopped into Trader Joe's looking for Valentine-themed snacks and came home with chickpeas, water, frozen Indian entrees, bananas, and granola. Go figure. 

So, today, we review Trader Joe's Almond Butter Granola. Previously, we reviewed Trader Joe's Chocolate Peanut Butter Granola and Trader Joe's Toasted Coconut Granola.

Described on the package as "crunchy clusters of whole oats, whole almonds and almond butter," Trader Joe's Almond Butter Granola comes in a resealable 12-ounce pouch. It costs...well, I didn't save the receipt. It's a mystery. ;)

Nutrition info states that the calories for a 2/3-cup serving are 290 calories with 7 grams of protein and 5 grams of fiber. 

The first four ingredients are oats, almonds, brown rice syrup, and cane sugar. (Remember that in a minute.)

Trader Joe's Almond Butter Granola Review

She says (Bridget): Where's the almond butter? This just tastes like a typical crunchy granola. While I appreciate the great crunch and the whole almonds, I bought this for the taste of almond butter. Remember the Almond Butter Covered Almonds? That was the vibe I was looking for.

He says (Mark): Apparently, Captain Crunch has a grown child?! This granola is tasty and is very crunchy. Love the chunk sizes, especially for snacking, as opposed to using the granola as a topping. As someone who doesn't eat much almond butter, my palette is not tuned in enough to know whether the almond butter flavor is true/good, but I found it excellent. The almond flavor was noticeable but didn't stand out.
