On the back are two options for heating. Interestingly, the recommended method is using an air fryer. While trendy, it's not a kitchen appliance everyone has. We used the oven method.

The package indicates 2 servings of about 4 pickled pups, but we had 11 pups in our package. Almost like a baker's dozen.

We served ours with mustard as indicated on the package, sweet potato fries, and...pickle spears! I do feel like we missed the opportunity to serve them with Trader Joe's Dill Pickle Chips

Trader Joe's Perfectly Pickled Pups Review

He says (Mark): These puppies are awesome. Pickled Pups are a fun treat for parties or game-watching. The batter is just right, and the beef frank centers are juicy and flavorful. I'm sooo happy that the box showed mustard as the condiment of choice (and not ketchup….ewwww, great with fries, but not here). The ingredients list is long, but the preparation instructions are straightforward. Pairs well with beer, cola, or lemonade.

Overall rating: 4 of 5 stars

She says (Bridget): While the pups don't scream "PICKLE," and it would be weird if they did, all the flavors associated with a pickle are here. Vinegar, dill, onion, garlic, mustard seed... they're all here. The breading bakes up crisp and golden. I loved that the breading was thin, not like some frozen corn dog breading that can be stodgy. The flavor is zippy, and the franks stay moist and juicy. I'd love to see a full-size version of these...on a stick!

Overall rating: 5 of 5 stars

Will we buy these again? We bought a 2nd box yesterday!

I sit here on my floor with an air fryer tray full of these perfectly pickled pups. I don't know how they got in my house, but it's too late to ask questions about their existence here. I don't want to eat them but I've already stomached three. A faint smell of artificial pickle lingers in my kitchen, a reminder of what I've done that will long outlast these little beef franks on the floor with me. They're like hot, wet, meaty doritos. Savory battery acid. I wonder how many more I can eat before I really start to regret things. To anyone out there planning on purchasing some perfectly pickled pups of their own, consider this a warning.

I just had the Pickle Pups. I was kinda blah on if I would like. Much to my surprise they are fabulous. Directions to airfry aren’t enough. I had to add 3 minutes. I served with Buffalo Sauce and Ranch Dressing. I could eat a dozen without thinking. They are kinda a mix between a corn dog or a fried pickle. This is a must try!
