In the words of Frank Costanza, "I'm back, baby!" Well, WE'RE back to be accurate. Our absence is a long, tedious tale of oral surgery, a soft foods diet, and, you know, life. But, we're back today with a review of Trader Joe's Pinks & Whites Dark Chocolate Bar.

If you're unfamiliar with "Pinks & Whites," they're flower-shaped sprinkle cookies that Jack and I reviewed on Bake at 350. Now, Trader Joe's incorporates those cookies into a dark chocolate bar.

The description on the package reads, "dark chocolate bar with pink & white yogurt coated shortbread cookies & sprinkles." A 3-ounce bar costs $2.99

The bar has cookies and sprinkles embedded into the top of the bar, while the back is segmented for easy portioning and sharing. The suggested serving size is 3 squares. 

Trader Joe's Pinks & Whites Dark Chocolate Bar Review

He (Mark) says: This delightful bar may be the first I've seen to use shortbread in this fashion. I prefer my desserts without sprinkles but didn't mind this combination at all. The crunch was a little like puffed rice. The chocolate was smooth and rich. I think the serving size would be 2 squares, no matter what the package recommends. Give this one a try! Great packaging to use for gifts and gift baskets.

She (Bridget) says: Have you ever eaten a chocolate-dipped cookie and thought, "what this cookie needs is MORE chocolate." Then this chocolate bar is for you. The bar itself is nice and thick, made from delicious (but not bitter) dark chocolate. Embedding the cookies into the top of the bar makes two squares a substantial and satisfying treat. I love the combination of cookies and chocolate. Really, is there a better one?

Would I buy it again? Yes! It would be especially cute for Easter baskets!
