You'll find these Trader Joe's Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal Bites in the freezer section of the store. The "bites" are balls of apple steel-cut oats rolled in a cinnamon-sugar breadcrumb coating. Each ball is about 3 bites. A 9.2-ounce package containing 9 pieces costs $3.99. The suggested serving size is 3.

Described on the package as "oatmeal you can hold in your hands." It's true - once heated, you could take a few with you to eat in the car when in a hurry.
Heating instructions are included for an air fryer, oven, or microwave/stove. We chose the microwave/stove option since that seemed like the most likely scenario to heat these on a busy morning.

He says (Mark): I wanted to like these bites from TJ’s, but I changed my mind after finishing just one. The consistency of the oatmeal combined with the flavoring being a little on the weak side were deal-breakers for me. They are a delightful toasty brown on the outside, however.
She says (Bridget): As with most Trader Joe's frozen offerings, I found these needed a bit more time than instructed to cook. The Trader Joe's test kitchens must have microwaves and ovens more powerful than mine. These oatmeal bites are much more tasty than they look. Flavored with dried apples, the oatmeal is apple-flavored without tasting artificial. The cinnamon-sugar/breadcrumb coating is brilliant. Be on the lookout for a recipe on my baking blog for a homemade (pumpkin-flavored?) version soon. I loved how the coating added a slight crispness and different texture to the oatmeal. The bites are quite filling and satisfying.

Will I buy them again? Well, given Mark's review, these might be a one-time purchase. But, I'll enjoy the ones we have left!
