Today we're reviewing Trader Joe's Rolled Corn Chili and Lime Tortilla Chips. The bag actually reads, "Rolled Corn Tortilla Chips Chili and Lime Flavored," but that read a little awkwardly, I thought.

A 9-ounce bag cost $2.49. They're described as "...little scrolls made from stone ground masa that is cut, rolled, and fried...then generously dusted with hot chili and lime flavored seasoning."
These rolled corn tortilla chips are gluten-free and have 0 grams of added sugar. I loved reading that these get their vivid color from vegetable juice, paprika, and turmeric extract.

He said (Jack): These are probably the best savory item I have ever had from TJ's. The flavor is a perfect mixture of tangy and hot, which is about as intense as it can be without being overwhelming. It definitely makes your taste buds work! Also, the form factor eliminates messiness and makes them infinitely snackable. I could eat a ton in one sitting, and it results in a nice aftertaste that isn't too "spicy." You can't get away with eating them without some red-dusted fingers, though...

She said (Bridget): As Goldilocks might say, Trader Joe's got this snack "just right." Sorry, Hot Cheetos, your time as the spicy snack of choice is up. The chile and lime flavor combination here is completely addicting. The spice blend is superb - spicy but not too hot, with just enough tanginess to make your mouth water. Perfectly crunchy, these rolled chips go great with a sandwich for lunch or with a beer for happy hour.
